- The fictitious producing site was based in Birmingham
- The machine dynamics e.g. running speed was based on an average performance for a given material
- Commercial running costs was based on regional averages
- The direct and indirect energy applied was based on a typical converter in the midlands
- Waste was based on an average wastage for the volume and material type
- Standard Euro wooden pallet with typical labels and pallet stretch wrap
- 250 kg was defined as one months’ worth then 750 kg is three months’ worth delivered in lots of 250 KG once per month so incurring storage
- 500kg was considered 2 months’ worth delivered in lots of 250 KG once per month so incurring storage
- The raw material prices were based on guestimates to published prices
- All reeled on 76mm cores
- Packed into a standard FEFCO 0201 style boxDimensions used 265 × 245
